Bro, it was literally started with the USSR as one of the big five. It was made to keep peace after WWII. There are plenty of resolutions each year that pass or almost pass against the will of the US. How the hell is the UN designed to protect capitalist interests, other than make long a more secure world, which is in the interest of everyone.
The UN didn't create a "secure world for everyone.” It created a regulated arena for capitalist states to compete without blowing each other up, while collectively keeping the global working class in check. Making the world "secure" for investment isn't the same as making it just for people.
The UN wasn’t designed around capitalism, it was designed around power balance to prevent another world war. That’s why the USSR/Russia, US, UK, France, and China all have veto power in the Security Council. It includes every recognized country in the world, most of which aren’t Western, and the General Assembly regularly passes resolutions critical of the US and Israel. What you’re addressing much closer to the IMF or World Bank.
The UN (and the League of Nations before it) aren’t neutral arbiters but an alliance of robbers. The Security Council veto isn’t about peace but rather a mechanism to ensure that no major imperialist power’s core interests (markets, resources, spheres of influence, etc.) are threatened by the others. They can get back to the real business of exploiting the Global South and the working class.
