Functionally it does though Protest licenses need to be applied for well in advance and rarely are granted for those that target the government

What has free speech gotten us though? Dissent is overrated. They have a much more advanced society

And yes, obviously the social credit thing is not one score and it’s various systems. But publicly speaking out against the central government will restrict various privileges you are granted

That’s what I’m saying, the US and China are both authoritarian surveillance states that outlaw critique of the government or its interests. I just can’t stand the “leftists” that hop on this app and then support a literal dictatorship because muh cummunisn
