Who decided to call it abolish ice when abolish the police left such a bad taste in people’s mouth (even though it shouldn’t have). Dissolve ice would’ve worked just as well but it wouldn’t have sparked that connection

The thing was defund the police, no one with actual serious intentions or than reactionary beliefs wanted a dissolution of crime enforcement, just a demilitarization and funding cuts to better fund mental health and social workers to take all the calls that police currently take but are not equipped to handle

Abolish ice is just actually abolishing ice and reforming the immigration system which includes border enforcement, just not a military police force directly controlled by the president
