This is lowk a bad time but I was thinking about this today. Trump’s “I love the uneducated” line wasn’t considered offensive was because families considered “white trash” (like mine) prefer hearing that over being called trash by our local libs.

Context: I grew up in a part of the south where a majority of the ruling class were more liberal families from out of state.
