The big lesson from the Iran War is that oil is vulnerable to Foreign Events: look at oil prices when Russia invaded Ukraine under Biden — sky high! If we are wise, we’ll use this as a call to action for EV adoption. We need more Teslas and other EVs

I’d buy a Tesla if I wasn’t straight. I’m a proud gas guzzler.

Iran is a Terrorist Regime. While I side with Tucker Carson and agree we shouldn’t have gotten involved, Iran was bound to be an issue sooner or later. Perhaps it’s better that we dealt with it before they went Nuclear.

The GOP is also a terrorist regime. Iran was never a nuclear threat.

I agree, but we that only works in big cities with enough population density. For other parts of the country, EVs are the future.

Actually, this is verifiably false. Latest intel says Iran had developed 60% Enriched Uranium prior to the war (only 3% is needed for Civilian). They also have long-range delivery platforms, as shown by their attempted strike on Diego Garcia. Combine Nuclear Warhead + Long-Range Delivery Platform and that’s veryyyy dangerous.

Why not comply with the UN Atomic Energy inspectors then? Why bury missiles beneath mountains?

Before the 2015 deal they weren’t complying. The jcpoa deal let them delay inspections for 24 days, which isn’t very efficient. Not anywhere, anytime access, so ineffective. Iran has always not answered questions from inspectors and hid things. You’re delusional if you think they are all buddy buddy with us and were complying. 😂 a simple google search will verify this.

2 is spot on. You should listen more. We may not want to be the world police (and I don’t want is to be), but there are dangerous situations where we need to intervene: a Nuclear Iran is one of them.

No it's not. Nuclear weapons are the only deterrent preventing the US from invading countries. The US is out of control and must be stopped.

This is completely false. The only research which indicates this is sponsored by Oil and Gas companies and used veryyy questionable assumptions (e.g., assuming the electric grid is powered by coal, comparing bigger EV with smaller diesel car - which have lower CO2 emissions but higher NO2). In the US, no matter how you calculate it, within a few years on the road, EVs break-even on their higher emissions from production

Right but you see 80% of the US population lives in urban areas And yes countries have suburbs with public transit. Like some tiny cities have multiple airport but not a bus to the biggest city near it lol

Once again, completely false. Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE have all stated they’ll develop Nuclear Weapons IF Iran gets them… to protect themselves from Iran News flash - the US is not the center of the universe

We quite literally had a deal with them with Obama until Trump screwed it us over. Also the US has quite literally had their fingers in the middle easy as a whole long before anyone in that region gaf about us.

Doesn’t mean you have to be car free of course I know a family who went from 2-> 1 car after they moved to a more centralized area where you could get around without a car

Mostly, but: Gas cars are just not efficient compared to electric, consider a (non plug in) hybrid. Literally, you just put gas in there and you get better gas mileage since it’s partially electric

How was the “deal” effective if they literally broke it? They launched ICBMs at Diego Garcia and swore they’d never develop them so they can reach a distance that was greater than like 2000 miles or something. The deal accomplished nothing.

They launched those missiles this year. Trump broke the deal about a decade ago. Also the deal never said they could not create ICBM’s it said they could not create nuclear weapons. ICBM’s don’t have to carry nuclear warheads.
