Neo-Nazism is hilarious. Like these ppl look at the one country that did it and then literally burned to the ground in 12 years and are like, yeah this is the way to do it

i agree with you that neo-nazism is hilarious because white supremacy is a laughable ideology but i don’t rly see how this is different than ‘socialism has failed everywhere that does it’ like isnt it logically the same argument? there’s even a parallel that many socialist nations have failed as a result of intervention from other countries, which could also be argued for nazi germany in some sense happy to be proven wrong btw

sorry i felt like you had read me as a right winger trying to say ‘but socialism bad’ as a response to every left argument, sorry for the pre-fire. i really don’t see how the two arguments are rhetorically different tho, and I don’t think asking a question about the underpinning of an argument is exactly ‘redirecting to socialism’

nah it’s kinda fair, there was def some pettiness in my response so I understand I mean you did technically redirect the convo to discuss socialism rather than the topic of neonazism, but you did also briefly mention how ridiculous an ideology it is so it’s not like you didn’t touch the topic at all. Personally I see it as a bit of an “apples to oranges” type comparison though
