they banned pride flags on government buildings and in schools. To “respect the religious rights of our citizens” not everything but it’s weird that a democrat city is doing this

Hmmm interesting, the lawsuit was dismissed https://www.lgbtqnation.com/2025/09/a-muslim-majority-city-banned-pride-flags-a-judge-just-ruled-on-its-legality/ I think what makes it complicated is that this policy also didn’t allow political or religious flags. It would be another story if it allowed everything, and could be something like Shurtleff v City of Boston
