The fact that both mainstream political beliefs are controlled by 3rd party lobbyist groups whose main goal is to make you think the other side is stupid and not worth talking to. Having any sort of political affiliation (in my opinion) is just a representation of your misinformed mindset you think is right, but in reality is just a pawn in a larger bid for control.

I think the truth lies in nuance. It's really how you want the country you are in to be ran. Yes it's by lobbyist. This doesn't make it incorrect or evil.

You’re missing the point, a majority of the time how you want it ran is not what you’re getting with our current politicians. The lobbyist groups (and example would be aipac) are the ones influencing them, not the people.
