Regulating speech and legally prosecuting speech are two different things. A society can regulate speech by shaming people who say stupid stuff. But the government should never be in a position to punish people for what they say, even if it’s wrong. Because in order for that system to exist, the government must be deciding what speech is ok and what speech isn’t, and that’s not acceptable. The best solution is to legalize everything and ostracize the morons
