Honestly, I think white people are more likely to have seen media that features a character with Tourette’s (like south park). I can’t think of a single piece of black media that even mentions this disability

Sorry, I should’ve clarified. From the internet discourse I saw, it was black Americans who didn’t seem to understand. Black British people seemed to understand. But what’s crazy is this is literally what the movie was supposed to address. They’re proving his point
