 I saw someone on instagram say all slaveowners in the South were jews (??) so I pointed out that Judah Benjamin was the ONLY important Jew in the CSA and he didn’t even know who that was. If ur going to be antisemitic at least know wtf ur talking about?

How are people even stupid enough to believe that oh my god. Dude I’m from the south. Where the fuck are the Jews then???? They sure as fuck aren’t here. My slave owning great great great great great great grandad wasn’t Jewish that’s for sure, he built the primitive baptist church where all my paternal relatives are buried.

And I think I woulda heard if all the fuckin famous people from my state were Jewish. Four of the first five presidents were slave owners from my state. Last I checked George Washington and Thomas Jefferson weren’t known for their Jewishness.

Like this really feels like shit from people who have never been to the south. Charleston had a major Jewish community as did New Orleans but outside those urban centers it was allllll Christians and it’s still mostly Christians. The south would look very different if all the slave owners were Jewish, as would our country considering a bunch of our founding fathers were slave owners.

I have to imagine they forgot Jewish people are like real and have jobs and stuff and they just imagine them as a mysterious omnipresent shadowy cabal. Either that or just stupid
