Sure but it sucks that this is where we're at as a society I don't wanna live in a place where the prevailing hope to prevent the authoritarian in power from ordering more atrocities is to suggest an effective leader resign early, simply to placate the person ordering said atrocities when there are any more avenues (in a working society) that this could be done

He has already said he will not seek elected office ever again. He made that decision himself, and this would be the absolute top-tier way to capitalize on that determination.

But the main point is that Trump wouldn’t do it. He’d have to show the world that it has little to do with Tim Walz or Walz’s leadership and everything to do with Trump’s racism.
