Turkey’s rhetoric can be boiled down to “the genocide never happened and the Armenians deserved it.” Turkey portrays it as a relocation effort in response to Armenian terrorists. They say only a few thousand people died and those who did were killed by Kurds or other Armenians or some other excuse. Turkey says that any acknowledgment of the genocide is due to a global anti-Turkish conspiracy
