Except that doesn’t make it any better. Slavery is a horrific crime against humanity. He’s trying to justify slavery because slaves wouldn’t commit other crimes instead? Which isn’t even true because slaves committed crimes all the time. Like stealing food and running away from their plantations.

He is not justifying slavery. He is saying that black people committed less crimes when systemic racism was worse, so that can’t be the cause of high crime rates now. Agree with that or not, he is not condoning slavery

“Black people committed less crimes during slavery” black people were murdered for no reason during slavery. They weren’t given due process to even be charged or convicted to add to crime rates. So that entire argument is flawed.

Everytime a magatard has an issue with something they blame it on their liberal boogieman. Racist republicans fought like absolute hell to ensure freed slaves were still heavily scrutinized and indebted to wannabe owners (sharecropping, etc.). Not sure why you get your opinions from palantir but maybe it’s time to look at the pattern of disenfranchisement against, frankly, any poc.

This is so untrue. Reread your history. Republicans freed the slaves and putting place equality. It was Democrat Woodrow Wilson who brought back segregation and the Jim Crow laws.
