like im SURE the andrea yates case wouldve produced the same amount of absolutely insane bullshit this case has caused. but also it’s crazy because it’s obvious so many people are using this case as an excuse to be misogynistic w no repercussions

or a sign of how new age feminism has allowed women to get away with crimes—like that already wasn’t the case, feminism isn’t why the legal system still gives women more benefit of the doubt than men—that’s still misogyny! And her case, by all evidence and what it appears, was handled pretty well, and the jury just made the choice based on the evidence given! If they don’t like that, I’d like to see these people go to court without juries—next thing you know they’re crying about judges

there hasnt been a real, active wave of feminism in over a decade. we’re basically in the post-feminism era now that everything has distilled to choice “feminism”! i’d argue it disingenuous to label what’s happening as anything other than social media mania and, loathe to admit, “gender wars”
