I mean links don’t work in comments on here, but two angles I saw were filmed by bystanders from behind the car, and one was CCTV footage from in front of the car, and at no point does it appear that she hits the agent even a little bit. Her car also doesn’t aggressively accelerate until after she was shot, presumably because her foot fell on the gas pedal when she was killed.

Not to mention, even if she did hit him, he shot her and immediately fled the scene, which is a tacit admission that he was guilty according to pretty much every ACTUAL law enforcement agency in the country. Guidelines on OIS are pretty standard, and the officer is required to remain on-scene and turn over their weapon to another officer in pretty much all of them. He grabbed his gun, tucked his tail, and ran before a supervisor could investigate at all. He knew he did wrong.

Not to mention she was shot at not once, not twice but 3 times. Police are typically trained to be very conservative with their lethal force, and unloading a clip on someone as they’re operating a vehicle regardless of where it’s going (if it’s going at you at the speed she was driving you can, idk, get out of the way) is reckless and puts EVERYONE around you in danger

You’re right, ICE is not police, they are a federal agency with even NARROWER enforcement guidelines than your average police officer. That hurts the pro-ICE case, doesn’t help it.

Obama wasn’t deporting people without trial. Obama wasn’t sending immigrants to Salvadoran prisons known for torture and to Guantanamo fuckin bay. Obama didn’t have ice parading cities and EXECUTING Americans for getting in their way. Even if he was hit, he wasn’t in grave danger. The car was barely moving before he shot her, and he was barely in its path. If I was standing where he was standing, I’d maybe fear for getting my foot run over, but not my life. Plus they’re told not to fire at a moving vehicle, plus he fled the scene, etc. I don’t defend Charlie Kirk’s murderer and say “well Charlie was an asshole so that guy shouldn’t go to prison for 1st degree murder” like you’re doing for an agent of the federal government rn
