The fact that so many leftists aren’t vegan is so disheartening… we’re supposed to be the pro worker, pro love, pro animal part, and yet so many of us eat animal products like yogurt and bacon and fruits every day.

we’re all animals. i do think on the whole the population eats too much meat (should probably be about 15-20% of our diet) and im not a fan of out industrial farming system. that said we aren’t separate from the environment, circle of life. like imo there’s nothing really wrong with hunting and fishing for meat. carbon-wise local is better. ultimately the issue is with industrialized farming and global demand, let’s not pretend plant based agriculture isn’t rife with human rights violations
