If you’re not jewish yourself, then you have ZERO reason to be posting on that board.

The yts are downvoting this but they know damn well they won’t go into a club for black students and start talking over them

Why not?

For the same reason I don’t go into women’s spaces and start talking about child custody laws or an Islamic space and start questioning them on Wahhabism.

They’ll compartmentalize it and excuse it somehow. 🤷‍♂️ The feeling of entitlement to answers.

I still don’t get why that’s a bad thing. If you didn’t ask women about issues that affect women, you wouldn’t have their perspective. Which is a necessary perspective to have. If you don’t ask Muslims about issues related to their religion, you’re not going to have their perspective which is arguably the best to have. Similarly, if you have a space only for one set of ideas, you’re not going to have any sort of discussion with people outside the “in group”. It’s not a good thing.

That’s implying people aren’t having conversations OUTSIDE of those groups, which is pretty clearly not the case. You want to talk about? You do it on neutral spaces. You don’t go to their spaces to harass them.

I’m not sure it’s clearly not the case. How many times has a republican page popped up here to try and get away from this page? If you ask in a neutral space, there’s no guarantee that you’re going to get the perspective you’re looking for. Asking in pages for specific demographics lets you see what opinions are held by that demographic much more clearly

Now granted it could definitely be done in a better way than OOP did
