I mean opinion didn't travel as fast. A lot pf people knew the case was flimsy but there was this rally around the flag nationalism that shouted down dissent, like if you question the war you might as well be helping the terrorists or saddam. Dick Cheney told scare stories about saddam trying to get nuclear centrifuges and yellow cake uranium from nigeria or something. They sent colin powell to the u.n. and he did some smoke and mirrors about mysterious trucks coming and leaving plants in iraq

I was your age in 2003. I was actually republican and pro iraq war at the time before i knew anything about anything.
