It probably sounds corny, but gun ownership is a big deal. It’s not something to fuck around with. For home/apartment defense, they’re a good deterrent. I mean there was a clip just a week or two ago of 3 guys coming into a house and murdering a father, mother, and 20 something year old son in front of their toddlers. You don’t want to have to use it, but if you’ve got it, you had better make sure you have the willpower to use it when that time comes.

Indeed. Though I want my gratitude to be explicitly known to you after I bore witness to a 2A absolutist on this site who thinks red flag laws are an attack on their culture. Like they think classes and certification equal banning guns. So after dealing with that slippery slope, I’m elated you are advocating safe&responsible gun ownership.
