Just like everyone else Kirk has no right to tell a women what to do it’s between her and her doctor it’s their decision which means ultimately it’s the woman’s decision bc we have the right to refuse medical treatment I won’t ever be mad someone didn’t get an abortion but a 10 year old can’t even consent to sex
The Brains being grown in labs to create bio computers have more of a personality than most zygotes when they get aborted I’m sorry but we can’t make laws around a “soul” or “conscience” that the couple cells may or may not have we don’t know enough it’s not even worth the debate bc it boils down to religion and personal beliefs which means there cannot be law about it
What am I being ignorant about? I came on to an open forum to try to understand the other side, you’ve now resulted to insults. Which only proves people like Charlie right about how the “left” acts. Also I never asked to be educated by you. ALSO what’s with the assumptions of character?
You know what makes people want to bear children? Bodily autonomy. No woman wants to get pregnant if her state won’t allow for an abortion even in dangerous cases. By banning abortion, you are creating the circumstances where woman say “nope I’m not risking that shit” Also not to mention that the working class is getting poorer, people have to work multiple jobs now, and other factors that discourage childbirth. Voting conservatives into office only will increase these factors
Well people like OP are fine with the consequences of child assault because they don’t actually care about children. Every policy position they advocate for hurts children instead of helping them. It’s no coincidence that conservatives are always the ones defending child marriage, removing funding for hotlines, and other policies that objectively harm children
Firearms. Easily the biggest cause of death for children in the country. Kirk said that was an unfortunate price to pay for the second amendment. And if you cared about the lives of children, you would be advocating for gun reform instead of banning abortion, which objectively hurts more children (specifically those who are victim of rape). But you don’t. If you cared about children you’d be fighting against their number one cause of death
It’s definitely secondary cause according to the numbers I googled to abortion by a significantly large margin. But yes I do feel our gun laws should be reformed. Banned completely however, absolutely not. Please don’t make assumptions on my views. We may agree more than you think here.
I don’t value one life over the other, if it is absolutely necessary to have a medically induced abortion to save a life good. This is not a large percentage of abortions.. I also would like this decision to be between the one pregnant and her family. Not the doctor.. not the government. Not you.
In the case of abortion, I support women doing whatever they, their doctor, and their family decide. It’s not my business, and no women should have to go through with a pregnancy if they don’f want to, regardless of what i think about their decision (and especially if it was r*pe-caused)
To be honest, I think when a fetus becomes a child is a matter of personal belief that the government shouldn’t have a hand in If you want to believe life begins at conception, that’s whatever. But that belief (almost always based on religion, let’s not kid ourselves here) should be separate from government, because we have a separation of religion and state. And due to that, I don’t believe abortion should be banned, because it would be crossing that line
So you’re contradicting yourself here, you say the government shouldn’t have a say but then you claim I or others feel this way because of religion which should be kept out of government. Which is it? No religious beliefs in government or no government on this matter? I also believe if people have a religion they should live by it. Even if it means voting on policies or politicians for religious reasons.
Could’ve worded it better. I should’ve said the government shouldn’t define when a fetus becomes a person based on any spiritual belief. We have a separation of church and state Like explain to me when a fetus becomes a person without using any spiritual justification. You kinda can’t really, because there isn’t any scientific basis to when personhood is assigned (Ps, politicians voting based on religious justification is a violation of church and state. You’re a representative ffs)
Regardless, I’d totally be anti DEI and anti LGBTQ as well as against abortion. Religion aside. I think DEI is more harmful than helpful. I think LGBTQ is a mental illness.. though I suppose since I’m putting my religion aside I could get behind same sex attraction just not the whole identity as something you aren’t. And then scientifically I think abortion is murder and I’m against that obviously.
I only mentioned science to the abortion part bud.. but first I’ve heard of a homosexual animals😂 when did this start being considered a thing. Truly will do anything to try to make it seem ok. Also I don’t like being identified as an animal. There is more to humans than that. But that is religion talking I suppose.
Dont play this game with me, I am in my final year of a history major and have extensively studied political speech “One nation under god” was added to the pledge and money in the FIFTIES because Eisenhower didn’t want no damn dirty atheist commies here The founders explicitly spoke against having religion in government. The fact you want to accuse me of not reading books when you clearly don’t know what you’re talking about is laughable at best
Funny.. because if you’re going to TPUSA directly you should be seeing the entire video. Only insta Facebook social media platforms etc are there shortened clips and vids and this isn’t uncommon for anyone to do. Doesn’t justify the assumption they’ve hidden the “evil” “disgusting” ones.. You should listen to his wife Ericka’s speech.
In fact, it’s even more embarrassing for you to say that because it’s possible “in god we trust” and “one nation under god” weren’t a part of the money/pledge when your own grandparents were born. We also have video and audio all the way back to the early thirties of US presidents and politicians, and in them you won’t hear that as part of the pledge either. All easily accessible information you can gather. Even if it wasn’t for my major, you can google it Dont cite history if you don’t know it
Holy fuck both of you… READ. Read what I post. Peachy here said the US isn’t a Christian nation. I believe it is.. yes I made a comment about some of the founding fathers being Christian. Which is true! But i was not intending to make the claim we were always a Christian nation.
You said they were god fearing men and (laughably) accused me and others of not reading history books And even if you wanted us to take what you said as “it wasn’t a Christian nation but is now” that’s just admitting you don’t care about the USA. You’re fine with overturning one of the founding principles of the country
You claimed to have read all these history books but our blind to the facts that this world is full of suffering Christian’s who are constantly being told their opinions are shit. That are being murdered. That this world this county cares nothing for them. This is not what the founding fathers wanted.. and if it is then yeah fuck them.
Forcing a 10 year old to become a mother after she was violently raped and she would have to “give birth” via c-section bc she is not physically capable of giving birth bc shes 10 years old. That’s not pro life. That’s pro birth. And that’s a disregard of self ownership and bodily autonomy.
Just gonna go out on a limb and say being persecuted is a core principle of Christianity and once it became no longer persecuted Christianity became more oppressive. We are seeing a rise in evangelicalism and Christian nationalism in the United States. We need Christianity being weaponized against minorities of all types yet Christian’s still claim persecution. It may happen around the world but it does not happen in America. You are made fun of, sure, but that is not persecution.
