 Someone needs to say it tbh, the reason so many atheists are annoying as hell is that despite leaving Christianity they still center a very large portion of their identity and worldview around it, just in a different way

And then these unhealed people with (very real) religious trauma just go around projecting “some churches are evil” into “religion is a cancer on society” and it only makes their point seem ridiculous

that is an entirely valid argument even if you disagree. Not everyone has to believe religion is some benevolent or even neutral thing.
