well i don’t know about all that obviously things didn’t automatically get rosy but freeing the slaves was definitely victory

but also they didnt free slaves bc they wanted to free slaves tho. like definitely agree obviously a great victory but much didnt change ppl were still skaves after the victory soo its iffy 🤷🏿‍♂️

Was it a victory? Or a concession? Because like I said, slavery just turned into Jim Crow. Honestly, slavery is still alive and well today in the for profit prison system.

Correct. Slavery never was outlawed. It just redefined who is eligible to be enslaved and the prison labor cannot compete with civil labor.
