The part about it that’s pissing me off is how Israel is partially doing this to itself by conflating Judaism with its own Zionist bullshit “It’s antisemitic to disagree with our actions” No, I’m disagreeing with your government, not your religion.

People at my college out here calling Jewish student baby killers, referencing the Rothschild conspiracy, saying on our YikYak the refs are Jews, and then getting really mad and calling you “pro genocide” for going “hey maybe this is antisemitism”.

No bc why did a podcast I listen to just come out with an episode about the blood libel (not promoting it ofc, just debunking it and explaining the history of it) and people in the comments were saying the most heinous antisemitic shit and saying the host was somehow prozionist for for talking about antisemitism existing.

I just see comments constantly calling things “spiritually Israeli” n shit when they think it’s bad. It’s like, i can’t tell if these are just kids online who are hopping on a trend and don’t know what they’re doing or if it’s a bunch of groyper fucks who know exactly what they’re doing 😭 “ohh but you can hate Israel without making it about the Jewish people” yes. It gets to a point tho 💔

Someone on my college page made a post of their cat that says “Shabbat shalom have a restful Saturday” and someone reposted it with “omg Israeli cat.” Fortunately it got downvoted into oblivion

being staunchly against antisemitism and also the genocide is such an annoying spot to be in. being against the genocide you get called antisemitic, being against antisemites wearing the facade you get called pro genocide. zero good faith and both want elimination of one group of people and suddenly, horrifyingly, the antisemitism has picked up a shitload of steam

It’s INSANE how normalized antisemitism is right now. I stg people are so desperate for a scapegoat they just jump to the old reliable “blame the Jews”. Even the mildest “hey, genocide is bad, (and I can’t believe I have to phrase it like this) even if it’s against the Jews” makes people hallucinate you said “all Arabs must die” because they cannot comprehend that there isn’t a group of people who deserve to be murdered in mass and you saying Jews shouldn’t die MUST mean you think Arabs should.
