This is sorta the inverse but I feel like even a lot of right wingers respect Bernie Not necessarily his policies, but a lot of them (in my experience) tend to think he has his heart in the right place and isn’t grifting

As someone hard right, he cares about the people. He understood when you just talked about specific groups 24/7 like the black and trans communities you alienate the rest of the country. He sees all of the us in the same boat. A lot of politicians in the left wanted to blame white men for all the problems of the for mentioned groups. Poverty in this country far exceeds the boundaries of race. Bernie tried to point this out and they shut him down.
