My opinion is my reality. Being against segregation is also an opinion of mine. Believing in human rights is also an opinion of mine. If someone’s racist that’s their opinion, and I will treat them accordingly when their opinions are dogshit.

No, plenty just don’t care enough, or did not sufficiently inform themselves. That is also a moral failing for which they should be judged accordingly. I don’t think my racist relatives are avowed fascists. I think they’re racists who are scared of Mexicans. That still sucks.

If someone is a willing accomplice to racism because they think it doesn’t matter, that is also morally abhorrent. And they should be judged for that choice. Because actions have consequences.

I only brought up racism when you began saying things are ok if they are opinions, as racism is an opinion. And my relatives. But they aren’t racist just because they voted for Trump. They’re racist because I’ve heard what they say about brown people. From the very start all of my comments were about their political choice being abhorrent. I never said “they are racist.”

I never said that every Trump supporter is racist. Plenty of Trump supporters are so willfully misinformed that it’s a moral failing, or they’re apathetic to racism. That’s still something they deserve to be ostracized for.
