I live in Florida but my family owns property in Manhattan and the Hamptons. We usually visit ny every summer. They’re up there rn but I stayed home this year. We hate watching him ruin the city. And eventually his policies will pour and start affecting nearby cities then states then the entire country until we are all doomed. He’s a cool guy ngl but he’s policies and ideas are not practical or sustainable.

I’m gonna be totally honest with you, out of staters who own property up here is basically the main reason we elected him.

Dare I say your family is contributing to ruining the city? If you’re only going to NY in the summer and you live in Florida, I assume you pay no NYC income tax, unless you’re renting that property out. The fire department and other city services have to perform their work around your property, but you’re paying less in taxes than your neighbors in NYC

They don’t pay income tax in Florida either. There are other ways to contribute. They pay sales taxes which funds police and emergency and medical services too.
