It’s relevant to point out the similarities we have now with one of the darkest times in our nations history. People still think others have less right cuz of race

well yeah. that’s obvious, but judging an area based off of that is a little strange. i stay in the deep south, and people always tell me my state is scary and racist (i’m black). crazy things can happen sometimes, but it’s pretty safe here (for the most part) if you stay away from the tornadoes and out of the hood

not saying that violence doesn’t occur, but it’s not as common in certain areas that we’re heavily defending slavery before the war sometimes
