I’m not concerned that the marines are being told to make “hypothetical” rosters of people that could “theoretically deploy within 96 hours”, but I am mildly concerned

I mean, having people on call is quite normal …? Like ready force people have always existed. 96 hours to get ready for deployment is quite a lot for those kind of squads tbh

Like people on alert contingency force usually are give. Only 24-48 hours notice and have some restrictions on how far they can go (like you can’t go fly across the country on alert)

Yeah, I guess I’m more concerned bc the two platoons that I know of that had this thrown at them last week are new, a bunch of the guys haven’t even done all their required admin shit/trainings for it
