I’m only posting this bc I witnessed it last night with someone trying to weaponize Dr. King, as if he supported “civility” over material resistance (completely disregarding the letter from Birmingham jail) When I dug a bit deeper, and portrayed the links between what they were saying and overall white supremacy culture; they crashed tf out, calling me a “fearful animal” (right after reinforcing those links to white supremacist culture)

TLDR: Be careful. There are some people on here who pretend that they care about resistance, but they truly only care about their own resistance. They do not care about the material conditions of the masses, and sadly fall directly into the critique laid out by Dr. King in the Letter from a Birmingham Jail (below; page 3 paragraph 8) We must be careful not to allow individuals like this to sabotage the moment.

And again, this is only for SOME people; I’m not trying to apply a blanket critique of “everyone that believes x”; solely a warning that there are indeed some people maliciously infiltrating the resistance.
