
India didn’t get a chance to develop a national identity like every single other country because of colonization. The British drew the borders. Even the US developed some form of national identity on their own by revolting against Britain. They just drew borders in South Asia and appointed corrupt politicians which set the tone for the country.
These are just the politicians tho and yes they are what’s relevant in geopolitics but most educated people there do not hold these stereotypical mindsets that propaganda pushes. I don’t think u can conceptualize how many people 1.4B rly is. The issue is that not many are educated bc of classism and bc the rural sides provide really cheap labor.
