I’ve been seeing a concerning number of highly upvoted posts that are in favor of criminalizing criticizing the government and a downvotes on posts/comments that disagree. Like is there something I’m missing cuz that seems like some deeply fascist shit?

Ah yes because banning criticism of the government is only ever used against one political ideology. Totally is never used against anyone further left of a sitting government or who criticize specific government policies.
