I’m voluntarily celibate and it irritates me to no end when people imply that I’m asexual and just haven’t realized it because no I am definitely not. These people don’t know me, and they still feel free to comment on my sexuality.

I don’t mean to make generalizations, and on the opposite end it irritates me when people imply I’m only calling myself asexual because Im a coping virgin who can’t pull 😭 but from what I understand, chastity is supposed to be a kind of sacrifice in a way. And when I was deep in the “virginity rocks” trenches it never felt like a sacrifice to me like they kept calling it. I’m not trying to make assumptions about celibate people in general, just people with a similar experience to me
