When the options are a guaranteed good thing and a chance of a bad thing, it should be much easier to get people to vote for the good thing.

When you posit the choice like that, you sound psychopathic. “It would be better if those people died and we should let natural selection do its thing” the entire point of society is to work towards the safest outcome for all participants. In this scenario, that outcome is choosing blue. Being proud and upholding selfishness and treating it like a virtue sucks and completely counter intuitive to everyone around you, including people who voted red as well

lol what? The options here are basically “you’re guaranteed to live” and “you’re not guaranteed to live”. In what world does it make sense for anybody to choose the second option?
