I keep thinking back to this conversation I had with a group from a uni project directly after the election. I voted for Harris, they 3 voted for Trump. When I brought up my reasoning and concerns about project 2025, tariffs, deportations, etc - they dismissed it as the media exaggerating things, and how Trump would just lower the cost of living. I can’t help but feeling like “i told you so,” I still see them in class but we don’t speak.

When I came summer of 2024 gas was close to $4 a gallon now it’s between 1.89-2.39 here in Tuscaloosa. I budget everything and save receipts so I can easily see it all. I only have so much a week to spend so I budget even the change I find on the ground

Can’t really compare summer gas prices to winter. People drive a lot more in the summer, increasing demand, and summer gas costs more to make because they have to make sure it doesn’t evaporate at a lower temperature. $2 is still a considerable difference though

I use the find the cheapest gas app and it changes daily plus if you have a rewards account which cost nothing for any of the places you save more off per gallon. I haven’t paid 2.75 anywhere in a long time. I’m sure a lot only go right by the school and those are always more expensive bc people are lazy

No I get even more off for those. I think Iowa has the cheapest gas under $2 and ofc Calif is $6-8. Every state sets their gas prices after the National price. Washington when I visited was extremely high too yet Arkansas was super cheap.
