Also, Venezuela was so rich because it has a bunch of oil, which it sold to the first world, and when they started moving in a socialist direction, America and all of her allies stopped buying their oil. I guarantee Venezuela would not be in such dire straits if the west had simply kept purchasing the shit from them.

Almost as if any economic system that specializes in only one industry that’s vulnerable to global fluctuations in prices is a bad idea. Monoculture economies are destined to fail.
