Conservatives love to drop the line “men can’t be women” and then think they’re Buddha

But here’s an honest question. Why is it offensive to distinguish trans individuals as what they are? You cannot ignore science and fact and just claim that anybody can just turn from one thing to another biologically like magic. I feel as though distinguishing women and trans women or men and trans men isn’t “transphobic” it’s just factual. You can live and look like whatever you want but don’t try to ignore science & force people into thinking they’re one and the same.

Because we are talking about gender identity, not biological sex. Ignoring science would be considering those to be one and the same.

Sure, but there are things that each sex cannot do and therefore you should have to differentiate. For example, people saying that men can menstruate. Thats not true. Biological men do not menstruate but trans men can as they are biologically female. The same argument would stand for testicular cancer in men. I’m just asking why it is wrong to tell people who think that men can magically become women (or vice versa) through a little surgery and hormones that there is a difference in identity.
