i was supposed to enter the job market in like 3 months.
now im gonna do a graduate program that lasts a year, delaying me going to work.
i dont really know how things are gonna get better in a year, just probably far far worse.

It’ll be fine, it always ends up being fine
1
Anonymous#11w
Not always.
6
Anonymous#11w
No one is hiring. The grad market is so bad no one knows what to do
6
Anonymous#21w
It has since the usa has been a thing
-1
Anonymous#11w
Huh?
5
AnonymousOP1w
Hang in there you’ll find a job
0
Anonymous#11w
No it hasn’t. Great Depression, Great Recession. One of those only happened like 20 years ago.
11
AnonymousOP1w
It’s always ended up being okay, market and economy always bounces back
-1
Anonymous#11w
Not to mention the gas crisis in the 80s.
If you’re saying eventually, like in a decade or more, we will bounce back? Sure man. Maybe. Probably.
But that’s not the same as everything being okay.
6
Anonymous#11w
Economic downturns can take decades
5
AnonymousOP1w
Exactly. Most do.
1
AnonymousOP1w
Usually around one.
1
Anonymous#21w
And if THIS rn is supposed to be the upturn, I don’t wanna know what the downturn feels like
1
Anonymous#21w
The economy bounced back after both of those by the way, im not sure what your point is
0
Anonymous#11w
So just, casually spend 10 years out of work with no savings and finesse it
13
Anonymous#11w
I just said my point.
If you’re saying the economy will *eventually* bounce back, then sure. You’re probably right.
But that could take ten years or more. That’s not the same as things being okay right now.
1
Anonymous#21w
There isn’t any probably, it will bounce back we have no evidence to suggest otherwise
0
Anonymous#11w
And that may take years.
1
Anonymous#11w
Maybe even longer.
1
Anonymous#21w
Maybe, maybe not who knows
0
Anonymous#11w
Bro the millennials were DEVASTATED by 08 recession and then the 2020 crash. Possibly permanently
16
Anonymous#11w
But there is a real possibility it does. Which is the issue here you’re working so hard to avoid.
6
AnonymousOP1w
Okay dude you’re fucked, you’re so perma fucked right now you might as well give up. No hope to be had here all you can do is be anxious and worry
-1
Anonymous#11w
Is that better?
-1
Anonymous#21w
WE ARE ALL FUCKED EVERYONE PANIC AND LOSE HOPE
-1
Anonymous#11w
no one is saying to give up, except you. having a conversation about an issue is the only way to figure out a solution to said issue.
6
Anonymous#11w
Do you see me doing that?
4
Anonymous#11w
LATCH ONTO THE WORST POSSIBLE OUTCOME THERE ISNT ANY OTHER OPTION
0
Anonymous#11w
Stop making your coping mechanism my problem. If you have to pretend we’re gonna bounce back immediately to not go completely insane please do not do it argumentatively online.
2
Anonymous#21w
We’re fucked, this WILL take decades to come back from
0
Anonymous#11w
Yeah very possibly man.
6
Anonymous#11w
I don’t think being anxious and worrying is too irrational rn. Our futures can be affected and it’s worth worrying about
7
Anonymous#21w
Im not pretending anymore, we’re looking at a decade here just like 2008
0
Anonymous#11w
tbh what is your problem? people out here are worried and want to find a solution, you’re over here either living in denialism and doomerism at the same time (tf?)
6
Anonymous#11w
I mean iran is clearly trying to overthrow the hegemony of the dollar as reserve currency by only selling to Chinese ships.
That would be pretty fuckin bad for us, man. And it could legitimately happen unless we work things out, and our leaders don’t want to.
9
AnonymousOP1w
Exactly what im saying, keep worrying and being more and more anxious
0
Anonymous#41w
There is no solution, we must panic and make everyone else panic
0
Anonymous#21w
Another hypothetical that we must worry about
-1
Anonymous#11w
There are solutions lmao, which we could be talking about.
Like America patching things up with Iran. Which isn’t inconceivable either.
But you’re more interested in building a weird parody of me rn.
