Would this have gone differently without a gun present? Also, to clarify, the victim was shot after she "became upset due to suspect not thanking her for holding the door”

Careful you’re giving too much information for the gun fetishists, they can’t handle that level of brain power

what is the purpose of a gun? what was it built for? what is the intended result of pulling a trigger on a person?

i understand that but people have to intend to kill. if you sit it on the table it won’t shoot. you have to purposely do it

… there is literally an Airman who was killed because the P320 was placed on the table in a holster and it fired on its own. a friend in high school lost a family member after his gun misfired and killed him. a local school resource officer had his gun fire in the holster and shoot through the wall into an EMPTY classroom, thank goodness. do you think that 6y/o student that shot his teacher 3 years ago really intended to kill her? have you seen that trial btw?

Okay yes sometimes things can misfire but did you hear abt the person who killed a girl w a knife just bc she was white? Should we ban all knives as well?

that 6 year old should have never even gotten the gun in the first place. If anything it’s the parents fault not the guns

it’s a lot harder to accidentally kill someone with a knife than it is to do so with a firearm. it is demonstrably a lot harder to kill 17 people in less than 8 minutes without a firearm. children are much less likely to accidentally murder themselves, their parents, their siblings, or community members with a knife than they are with a gun. knives are NOT the leading cause of death in children.

but knives also kill people. If guns are put up correctly kids can’t get to them. Children shouldn’t have access to a gun that’s why you lock it up when you’re done. Is it truly a gun issue or a mental health issue? No one in their right mind would go and kill children. I own a gun and I wouldn’t kill a child.
