Lowkey they’re both bad ways to frame this but assuming guilt might be marginally better. It is true tho that there is real harm in the latter, it provides a lot of cover to the truly guilty and only serves to level the playing field which helps them tremendously

Yeah ik, that’s why I’m saying that both absolutist stances (there are no pedophiles; every politician is a pedophile) are bad takes. There are certainly SOME current politicians who are pedophiles, like a few members of trumps admin and almost definitely trump himself, but it’s not accurate or helpful to act like everyone in Washington is a legitimate pedophile. The word gets thrown around somewhat carelessly online as some lazy insult but I really think that just takes away from the

Yeah that’s what I’m saying. Entirely valid to skewer someone for protecting pedophiles; you can and should do this without feeding into these hyperbolic ideas of our whole government being staffed by a majority of literal pedophiles. That type of conspiracy is exactly what trump and other predators wanted to kickstart with their doctored Epstein files
