Got blocked by Orangutan 🎉🥳 Genuinely kind of shocked that they’re an unironic Stalin glazer. Like I knew they had godawful opinions but like wow that’s *really* *really* bad.

I was blocked seemingly for the great offense of pointing out Stalin fell for pseudoscientific lysenkoist bullshit which directly caused famine, and killed the agricultural scientist who pointed out this was a terrible idea.

General Soviet apologism is one thing but unironically treating Stalin as an infallible angel is another goddamn level. I don’t like horseshoe theory but that’s an astonishing level of dogmatic thinking.

I will say I was very amused by them trying to pull out their pre-packaged “drought happened and the kulaks burned the crops” which is clearly practiced Holodomor denial but is not at all related to lysenkoist agricultural policy. Guess they didn’t have an answer to that.
