except the fact that most venezuelans are literally happy and celebrating in the streets that a blood thirsty dictator is gone. so much so that they even welcome the US seizing their oil in exchange for freedom

Hard to say. Feel like we have to commit now. Only morally good path forward is finish what you started. This will be on Rubio to prove he’s not a total dipshit. 100% probably going to be some right-wing shithead regime change or possible military junta. It’ll be better in some aspects and worse in others.

yeah I imagine it isn’t over since they even admitted the goal is oil (and nominally also drugs) Maduro being out doesn’t solve either of those problems Potentially they’re looking to turn Venezuela into some sort of prison colony for deportees so they can exploit their labor

Drugs don’t even flow from Venezuela in the way that people think of, that’s the sad part. They are cocaine producers, not sellers. Even with that, it doesn’t justify a fucking invasion. Mexico and China pump out more drugs to the United States x100 times over and yet Pedophile in Chief isn’t doing shit about it. He was 100% hoping for a bump in polls over this stupid shit but it’s not going to work lol.
