The US government is rife with corruption and incompetence and is increasingly becoming more authoritarian. No I do not trust the government with my safety. I’m keeping my guns .

Shut up you have no freaking idea what you are talking about. Access to guns or not doesn’t change someone’s ability to take their own life. Guns make it easier but desperate people will find a way too. For me it was a rag to plugged into my cars exhaust pipe.

No, of course not. That would be silly! … But i DO know three things. Number one: women are more likely to attempt suicide. Number two: men are more likely to DIE from suicide. Number 3: Men own most of the guns. Draw your own conclusions. I know I have.

… yes, mine is the same. … but I also draw the conclusion that having a gun in the home is far more likely to cause a successful suicide than not. Which I’m pretty sure there are like. Specific studies about that also come to the same conclusion. so the whole “my own safety” line is… interesting in that context
