i got my parents to “i dont care if they’re trans as long as they follow Jesus” which is not good but i come from a family that would unplug the tv when modern family came on so “the gay agenda wouldn’t run through our home”. ive stopped telling them which of my friends are trans, they dont know and dont ask bc theyre so charming 🤣

Lowkey true. My mom is hella transphobic but one of my childhood friends came out as trans and their parents threatened to kick them out and my mom was the first person to offer them a safe place to stay and support Then I know some queer folk who will fight tooth and nail to shit on trans people and their inclusion in the community

I can't tell you how many times i've heard sentiments like "wow, i havent thought of it that way" or "i'm sorry the world is tough on you" after i talk to conservatives about being trans but libs don't care because they're too scared to challenge their bigotry bc of all the purity testing you people do
