It’s funny bc Trump literally cut off 90% of their oil industry in his first term and he realized he fucked up but rather than lifting sanctions and allowing a dictator to stay in power (that doesn’t like him that is) he’s gonna try and spark a war

They’re not a SUPER significant producer of cocaine either, but apparently a lot of flights come from there into Guatemala or Mexico and are carrying cocaine

I despise Maduro but I don’t want a war with the Venezuelan people they’ve been unfairly scapegoated for so long. Another Iraq style war will destroy our economy and any power our country has left

Oh yeah I’m not blaming Trump for the sanctions per se, it’s just a natural cause and effect scenario. It’s a very diplomatically complicated situation
