At this point I hope the euros follow through. America has to learn some very hard lessons about trumpism, and I don't think we will unless things get very, very bad. Dump the bonds, tax the trade, don't give an inch on Greenland.

The worst part is they won’t get punished no matter what. Only we will. All the billionaires that put Trump in the white house are fucking invulnerable.

I’m not sure how the bond dumping would actually work because a lot of those could be held by individuals, private institutions, using EU bank accounts, or pension funds. It’s possible that US investors would just jump on the spike in yields. It would be hilarious if the EU stopped caring about American IP though

We won’t annex Greenland it’ll be a deal where they remain sovereign but in exchange for our defense responsibilities we’ll get mining rights

It’s what we did with Ukraine a while back to help offset the cost of military aid, and it’s the only plan that Greenlanders would approve themselves. They don’t want to be a part of the US

So I guess speculation in my part but I just don’t see us annexing them without their wanting to be

Pretty much. I think Trump was waving his dick around in public and when he got behind closed doors in Davos he asked a much tamer pitch then they expected

I like to think that some countries have a missile each bookmarked for their bunkers so they can’t come back out and take over

I think the bipartisan condemnation and market reaction may have spooked him a bit. Someone probably showed him the anti-coercion instrument too lmfao

He also seems to now be leaning towards Warsh over Hassett for Fed Chair, so someone must be telling him some of these decisions are financially stupid if he continues

Someone’s pulling his levers rn for sure I don’t know who it is but it should be a given looking at his cognitive state

Jamie Dimon just criticized the recent immigration stuff so I wonder if the billionaires and finance moguls are saying he’s doing too much
