So there are two basic economic principles to always keep in mind: hyper inflation is not good, and deflation is really not good. So it’s totally ok if prices go up, but not ok if they skyrocket wayyy more than they should. I def understand what you mean by things have gotten more expensive tho.

No not at all, please share, I’m more concerned about why I haven’t been getting any of these miraculous prices being lower. Is it the store? Or maybe the items I’m getting?

Damn I tried to share it but it was removed or reported or something haha

Cool, here’s an article by the USDA. I have a lot more than this by the way, literally every single source including my own eyes is showing that prices are increasing. So that’s why I want to know where did this photo get found.

If you want to find it, look up: “tariffs actually help inflation” and it’ll come up with a yahoo finance article

…did you actually read the article?… it’s not saying what I think you think it’s saying

Yeah I read it. It’s a weird one for sure bc it’s a report on this last year on how tariffs actually shocked the economy (not good) but it led to less inflation (good). Not something that anyone could predict

Dude, the article is a qualitative review of a singular article that wasn’t even published in an academic journal looking over tariffs in HISTORY. And even then the article says the only reason inflation would go down is because of economic collapse! Cost of living only goes down because quality of living goes down too!

I’ll be honest, it’s not even about the fact that things have gotten more expensive, that sucks, but it’s not why I am mad. I’m mad because it feels like every right winged bum is trying to act like everything is going totally fine, and that it’s a good thing that every other part of our country from our education dropping to diseases becoming rampant is ok “because the economy is better” WHEN IT CLEARLY ISNT!

I am one of the apparent “right wing bums” but I don’t think everything is totally fine. I don’t think you give this one guy much credit or thought, but Nick Fuentes is another one of your “right wing bums” who I align with some bc he points out that Trump has not made life easier for us and has not made things cheaper.

Your view that all conservatives think that way, is prob limited bc of how the left and right are made to think of each other due to the media/social media

Yes you are correct that it is not an academic journal haha. I didn’t know that that was the standard to which you like evidence haha. I guess I can look around for one but this year has just been unexpected bc there has never been a reaction like this to tariffs in history. Which prob makes sense why there isn’t an academic journal written about it

This is true, people should not be put into boxes, everyone is different in their own special way, but the thing is, you can only vote for one person, and if you voted for the womanizing, racist, fat troll and his pet couch fucker than you’re part of the problem

I typically do try to go for higher quality, you can actually rank evidence, yours would qualify as about a level 5.

I’m genuinely curious, who did you vote for then?

Is it out of 10? Where does this ranking system come from. I am not familiar. I would love to see what social media comes out to then lol

Well I voted for Kamala, and to be honest I wasn’t a fan of her since she’s a god damn war monger just like the rest of those blue pieces of tissue paper she runs with. Buuuut it was either her or the troll who wanted to make it harder for my trans friends to exist. Kinda why I’m not a huge fan of centrists.

Haha thank you for acknowledging that Kamala was not a strong pick at all. I appreciate your honest and thought out opinions. Trump ain’t my fav either…. He’s has no self control and quite narcissistic. But he’s just the one that aligned with more of my values

See that’s concerning but also part of the issue because there are a lot of people, mainly moderates, who don’t like his extremist views but vote for him anyways.

Yeahhhh for articles on the tariffs this year, idk if it’s even possible to get a higher score since the way the economy reacted has never been anticipated before ya know?

Oh it has. We’ve tried tariffs in this country 2 times before, neither worked.

Didn’t you vote for Kamala even tho you didn’t like how she was a war monger tho? That kinda feels like the same thing. It seems like we are both unsatisfied with our two party system but are passionate enough to still vote for someone

But the last two times, the economy didn’t react this way way and lessen inflation right? Or am i mistaken?

Shit dawg you right. I guess I just feel more opinionated towards one angle, mainly that I care a lot about human rights and right now I am seeing a lot of them being abused.

Uuuuh no, it actually lead to the worsening of the Great Depression and was a key factor in Hitler’s rise to power.

Dude even in his last term trump tried tariffs and it didn’t work! It led to lower wages and a net welfare loss of 0.1%.

Well the whole alligator Alcatraz thing is a pretty good start. The vehement attacks against the poor through these pricing issues as well as taking away pretty much every social program from SNAP to Medicaid, but also also the fact that gay marriage was nearly banned several times!
