I say illegal immigrant bc it’s technically true I just think they have the same rights as the rest of us and deserve to be grandfathered in while we work on addressing root causes and expanding the immigrant intake and court system

Italy and Ireland have IQs in line with the western average. A better comparison to Italian immigrants would be how legal Indian immigrants are treated despite being relatively intelligent (despite India overall having a relatively low IQ)

By contrast, illegal immigration from Latin America, Africa, and India, doesn’t really select for intelligence so the immigrants you will end up getting will have an average intelligence level that is significantly below the western average sadly

And people in uneducated impoverished italy and Ireland in 1905 didn’t have lower IQs? Probably the worst explanation I’ve ever seen. Eastern Europeans that mass immigrated into the US also had “low IQs” because they come from poorer countries with less access to education it takes generations to assimilate.

Violence in the Italian and Irish immigrant community was a problem for DECADES. They were seen as low IQ papists more susceptible to violence and crime until the systemic discrimination they faced was finally addressed in the mid-late 1900s Now they’re Americans like the rest of us. Exact same shit that y’all are saying about these other immigrants today

Please do some research on socioeconomic factors and generational trauma. Childhood nutrition and household stress play a HUGE role in people’s development. If you want a more functional society with smarter people, the most effective solution is to improve our safety nets to give children better growing environments
