all the theorizing about why kamala harris lost 2024 seems to miss the obvious fact that the deck was incredibly stacked against her. the odds of winning were low and she did the best she could with the time she had (not saying everything was perfect tho)

Yeah, wasn’t perfect but her campaign was as long as a college semester and had headwinds from both the left and right

I mean there isn’t much theorizing to do when a DNC report so thoroughly debunked the claim Israel had nothing to do with the loss that they canned the report

none of us know what that report says or why it wasnt released. im sure israel was a factor but from the available data the largest movers were independents discontentment with post covid inflation and immigration

That she only lost GA by ~2.2% should be, MI by ~1.4%, WI by ~.8% and PA by ~1.7% should be decently encouraging

too much energy was given to the saving democracy thing which energized ppl like me but i think fell short for people whose main issue was inflation. she shouldve spent all her energy figuring out a smart way to separate from bidens perception on the economy and immigration

Hot take: I think there’s a lot we don’t know about how unable Harris was to separate herself from Biden. Biden was still her boss at the end of the day

i agree she couldnt openly denounce biden, and i dont think she would even want to do that. im just saying there had to be some way to thread the needle. i know that one clip from the view where she said nothing comes to mind about what she would do different from biden went mega viral

…and had she said something, biden would’ve prob came out with “you were involved in our decisions, why didn’t you suggest it?”

The DNC has such a hard-on for Israel that it wouldn’t surprise me if that’s why they chose not to release it lol
