In the generals he needs to harp on anti AIPAC, anti data centers, and alignment with working class voters to syphon off right leaning voters. If he can do a full addressing of data center concerns he could win.

The data center stuff has been what I think will be the biggest issue, but Rogers will turn right around and use that as well with renewable energy that keeps popping up everywhere in the state. People HATE the solar farms and windmills being built in rural communities. More importantly, Benson(Dem candidate for governor and current SoS) is tied to the development of data centers through her husband.

I think if Al-Sayed can ensure that it won't effect electric bills and water bills he'd have it secured, plus if they can remind people about the constant noise and light data centers make it'd be a cost benefit analysis, but that'd be relying on red voters to think so who knows.

I don’t know if the AIPAC stuff will work or not, tonight isn’t really showing that. The populist stuff appeals to rural voters and working class, but he has to have more in-depth attacks on big money than just saying “muh billionaires” and “muh corporations”

Yeah, if he wins that'll probably make the DNC push for him more which could help him and maybe direct his speeches, idk though. Time will tell.

Like the healthcare angle is solid for the state and I think workers rights will unironically bring out liberal/conservative populists due to the manufacturing history in Detroit and Lansing. Grand Rapids is an odd duck. I don’t know if he can win Kent County in the general. It’s a heaaaaavy evangelical city

Yeah that's always a curve ball, even before it was legal my parents church told us we need to vote red so i can see that effecting stuff. We still got a few months so maybe that'll help the turnout.
